Our Research
Three Core Streams of Mycelium Research and development
At K LAB, we focus our research efforts on three streams that highlight the diverse potential of mycelium. Each stream represents a frontier where mycelium can revolutionize our understanding and application of this organism.
Mycelium for Neurogenesis

Our neurogenesis research explores mycelium’s potential in promoting brain health and regeneration. By studying mycelium-derived compounds, we aim to develop new treatments and therapies for neurological conditions, enhancing cognitive function and overall brain health.
Mycelium for Materials

In materials science, we explore the use of mycelium to create sustainable and biodegradable materials. From packaging to construction, mycelium offers an eco friendly alternative to traditional materials. Our research focuses on developing products that are environmentally friendly, strong, and cost-effective.
Mycelium for Food

Our table mushroom research is dedicated to optimizing the cultivation and use of edible mushrooms. We investigate innovative growing techniques, nutritional benefits, and culinary applications of various mushroom species, aiming to provide sustainable, nutrient-rich food sources.
